Communication Support Worker
27.5 hours per week- Monday to Friday (Term-time only)
Start date 2nd September 2026 (Fixed Term - 12 months)

We are seeking to appoint and Communication Support Worker to provide communication support for a profoundly deaf student to access the learning environment and the curriculum, facilitating full inclusion in school life.
We are a ‘Good’ school in the heart of Ryde with above national average outcomes in Key Stage 2 and we are looking for teaching assistants to join our dedicated team.
We are looking for someone who:
- has the ability to communicate through BSL
- supports our inclusive, nurturing ethos
- has experience of supporting deaf children and young people
- is committed to the development and welfare of all children
- has an understanding of Deaf awareness and Deaf culture
- has the ability to relate well to children and young people and their parents/ carers.
