This role is office-based; however, it also offers some agile or remote working.

We are looking for an Assistant Pension Administration Manager to work for the Isle of Wight Council Pension Fund.  We have a small but highly enthusiastic and supportive team, committed to excellent service standards and continuous improvement. 

You will play an important role in upholding the integrity of the scheme and ensuring a responsive, customer focused approach for all LGPS stakeholders.

You will:

  • have experience of work involving the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • have an ability to understand regulations applying to the Local Government Pension Scheme and related matters
  • good inter-personal skills and ideally have experience of managing staff
  • possess a sound knowledge of office procedures and IT skills and their importance to the overall efficiency of the team
  • have the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
  • be able to carry out calculations quickly and with a very high degree of accuracy
