Brighstone Church of England Primary is a small, friendly primary school at the heart of the community. We pride ourselves on knowing every child well andproviding a nurturing, inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their best academically and personally.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our team and take responsibility for a mixed Year 5/6 class. The Role
The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across the Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum
  • Effectively meet the needs of pupils of mixed ages, abilities and backgrounds
  • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress accurately
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have a good understanding of upper KS2 expectations, including preparation for end-of-Key Stage assessments
  • Be confident teaching mixed-age classes or keen to develop these skills
  • Be reflective, organised and committed to professional development
  • Share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
