School Business Manager
37 hours per week, term time only - with 6 hours overtime for CPD

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Business Manager to join our team and support the strategic and operational management of the St Boniface Federation. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the school’s financial management, administration, HR processes, premises, and health & safety.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Headteacher and Leadership Team to ensure the effective use of resources and the smooth day-to-day running of the schools within the Federation.
The post will require one day per week in each of the schools, the remaining days to be spent at one of the schools. There may be occasional opportunities to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school’s financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies
- Oversee HR administration, including recruitment, contracts, and personnel records
- Manage premises, facilities, and health & safety arrangements
- Supervise administrative and support staff
- Manage procurement and supplier relationships
- Support the Executive Headteacher and Governors with strategic planning and reporting
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience in financial management and budgeting
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of school finance systems and education sector regulations (desirable)
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
